Meet the Talented Team at Fox Cities Builders…
Phil is the third eldest of seven children—all born and raised on a dairy farm in Seymour, WI. At a young age he learned the value of hard work and developed a passion for agriculture and construction. When Phil was just thirteen he handed in a school assignment that said he wanted to “build buildings for a living.”
Today, Phil is fortunate enough to combine his passion for building agricultural structures with building customer relationships. Phil’s number one priority is listening to the needs of our customers to ensure that their project allows them to experience the best.
Phil enjoys spending his free time with his wife and four children. His hobbies include raising registered Black Angus beef cattle and hunting.

Jay has 18 years of construction industry experience. After six years as a crew member and foreman, he started Fox Cities Builders with business partner Phil Ullmer. In early stages of the company, Jay took on dual roles tending to both business needs and work in the field. Jay continued this “double role” until 2008 when he became a permanent figure in the Fox Cities Builders office focusing on estimating and finance for the company.
Outside of the office Jay enjoys camping, spending time with family, ice fishing with his kids, plus bowling and golfing.

Travis started his agricultural career at the young age of five when he began helping out on his family’s farm. He got his first job at 11 and soon realized he enjoyed spending time on farms, so after graduating from high school, he started working with Fox Cities Builders. Travis’ knowledge of agriculture helped him to move quickly from crewmember to foreman to project manager to a partial owner in just eight years. This background gives him the knowledge necessary to take projects from the building stages to completion.
In his free time, Travis enjoys hunting (especially bow hunting for whitetails), working with Holstein genetics and spending time with his family.

While attending UW-River Falls for four years to study Agricultural Business, Kevin owned and operated a dairy farm back home in De Pere, WI. Later, Kevin also managed a partnership of 1,500 cows and a 1,500 head heifer operation. These experiences have given Kevin knowledge of how a dairy operation works, including animal flow and operational layouts, which he has used every day for the last nine years in his career as a sales consultant at Fox Cities Builders. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable source for your next dairy building, Kevin is just that person.
In his free time, Kevin enjoys following his daughter’s volleyball career, traveling all over the country and watching her play. Additionally, Kevin enjoys spending time with all of his family, plus raising beef and elk.

Nick was introduced to agriculture at a young age by spending his summers at a family farm, and eventually that turned into a job. He became interested in architecture by taking a series of drafting classes in high school. He attended the University of Milwaukee and graduated with a degree in Architectural Design. As a small town guy, he realized that city life wasn’t for him, and that he wanted to pursue rural architecture. He loves how each building is a new adventure as he watches it come to life. Nick is very grateful to Fox Cities Builders for giving him this opportunity to start his career and let him combine his passions of architecture and agriculture.
In Nick’s free time, he enjoys spending time on the family farm working with a variety of animals. He also enjoys four-wheeling, snowmobiling, watching movies and listening to country music.

Adam’s interest in agriculture started when he was old enough to help with chores on the family farm, and grew to working on the neighbor’s dairy farm, then to fixing tractors at Tesch Bros. Implement. In 2007 Adam started his career at Fox Cities Builders working as a crewmember with Phil and Travis. Training, along with a strong work ethic, helped Adam move into the foreman position he’s held for the last four years. Adam’s pride in his work has allowed him to build quality structures for our customers.
In his free time, Adam enjoys hunting, snowmobiling, doing projects around the house, and spending time with his wife Carrie and their boys, Cooper and Kaden.

John lived on a farm until he was 14 years old. After his family moved, he continued to work on another local farm throughout high school and has been pouring concrete since 1996. This experience combined with his background in farming, allows him to work hard at the little things like maximum animal comfort and cattle flow. John puts a lot of energy into his work, and believes you won’t find anyone else out there who can deliver comparable quality in such a short time frame.
In John’s free time, he enjoys racing his dirt-modified car, spending time with family, bow hunting, and ice fishing with his kids. Running is also a hobby and his best time was recorded at the Seymour Bun Run!
